Hibernating
Day 235 | Palmetto
The plan was to be up and on the road early today, but the morning's low was 45 degrees and it was cold. I balked at that plan and waited under the comforter a few additional minutes for the heat to kick on and warm the cabin. Our first stop of the day was Walmart to pick up some proteins, fruits, and vegetables in preparation for our Saturday morning departure. The bags were brought back to Crossroads and I broke down all the packaging and put everything away as Barry returned our rental car. We gave the Camry a pretty good workout, logging 3300 miles and passing its mileage limit for an oil change in the month we had her. The afternoon was pretty with blue sky and bright sunshine, but it was still windy and cold, struggling to get out of the 50s ... too cold to just hang out on the dock or Fiberglass Beach. It was just a slow news day. I relocated to the pilothouse and caught up on some paperwork as Barry continued with his latest electrical project. He made progress (and I helped), but we'll have to finish it up tomorrow ... our final tomorrow here at Riviera Dunes.
