Barry is very skilled in all boat systems and I believe I'm a pretty good helper. He's already upgraded all of our navigation electronics, lighting, waste disposal, engine exhaust and much more.
The previous owner of Crossroads had attached artwork to all the wooden doors with a very sticky industrial adhesive. We quickly removed the artwork as it was not our style. Removing the residual adhesive proved to be a huge challenge and we finally came to the conclusion that the doors had to be stripped and refinished. This week Barry restored the three doors and they look great!
Another upgrade we've been anxious to make is the replacement of the captain's chairs on the flybridge. The original seats were in poor condition and mine was broken to the point that I couldn't lean back, making for an uncomfortable ride. The two new seats are now installed with covers to keep them in good shape.
Crossroads is now on the hard, getting some final engine work done. It is scheduled to be back in the water in mid-April. At that point, I can get onboard and start cleaning and organizing. Time is flying!
