Returning to Normal

Black Point

Dense clouds blocked a dramatic sunrise, but they soon burned off. What a treat to see the return of a deep blue sky and fluffy white clouds. By noon the wind had dropped to around 20 knots and the whitecaps in the anchorage disappeared. Most of the folks on neighboring sailboats dropped their dinghies and ventured to shore -- many toting laundry bags. We stayed put and I enjoyed an afternoon of reading in the sunshine on Fiberglass Beach. We'll drop the dinghy from the upper deck early in the morning and hopefully get a good spot in the laundry line. There are reports of several friendly faces making their way here tomorrow. We want to get our chores done quickly so we'll have plenty of time to catch up later.
