Time Changes, The Sun Rises, and The Winds Blow

Black Point

The wind continued clocking to the east overnight. Protected by the land and with only a small amount of fetch, the anchorage remained fairly calm. Thinking in terms of "new time," we called it an early night and slept well as Crossroads bobbed gently in the harbor. I was again up in time to watch the sun rise over Great Guana Cay and into a dense cloud bank. There were actually two shows this morning. The first featured a deep orange glow tinted with a little red. The second occurred 15 minutes later when the angels' spotlight was turned on. Crossroads tracked in a nice arc all day, even as sustained winds reached 30 knots. We tried to stay busy with a few boat chores and reading. One more book finished and a good start on the next for me. With a calmer ride, we were also able to get showers and I could do my stretching. Thirty minutes of yoga is not the same as a good walk, but when confined to 43-feet of boat, its the next best thing.
