Fort Pierce
From the moment he woke up, Barry was tracking our wayward package. Other than seeing that, hallelujah, it was out for delivery, we had know idea of arrival time. Over lunch we rationalized that Brown should deliver to businesses before residential. I countered with, since our three-day late 2nd Day Air delivery was first on the truck, it would be the last off the truck. Thankfully, it was a pretty day on Fiberglass Beach. Reading my book in the sunshine, with an occasional nod off, made our latest delay more bearable. The sun delivered a little brown to my paling skin, before Brown delivered the update we had been waiting for.
Finally, at 4:35, we received notice that it had arrived. Unfortunately that was too late to up anchor, get to the fuel dock, pick up package, and refuel before the marina closed at 5:00. We came to terms that we would be stuck here another night. We then checked the weather only to find that our weather window for hopping offshore was also gone. Now, up to Plan G, we will make some miles on the inside tomorrow and Wednesday then hop out at West Palm Beach on Thursday for Key Biscayne. A nugget of good news appeared in Chris Parker's afternoon forecast. This crazy weather may FINALLY be blowing itself out. At this point we can only hope. In the 39 days since we departed Deltaville on December 31, the weather has been our fiercest opponent.
