The middle (and final) bow was quickly installed this morning, completing our new bimini structure. Next, our framing contractor Eric and Barry measured for the solar panel support frame. Since it required a tighter bending radius, Eric went back to his shop to complete the fabrication on a different hydraulic press. By mid-afternoon, all the stainless steel was in place. The only thing left to do was securely fasten it all together. Each tube end needed to be drilled then tapped so it could then have a bolt in each connector. This is a time-consuming process that will continue through tomorrow. Eric called it a day at 5:00. As the sun was setting, Barry and I made a quick run to the local marine hardware store for an additional tap and then to return some parts we did not need. Our canvas contractor Hoke will be out on Monday to start fitting the new bimini cover. All seems to be moving right along.
